In accordance with the National Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States 1993, Christiana Care Health System Medical Libraries exchange material with local and regional interlibrary loan (ILL) partners.
The three libraries of Christiana Care are the Junior Board Cancer Resource Library, the Christiana Hospital Library and the Wilmington Hospital Library. The hospital libraries' scope and services differ considerably from those of our Junior Board Cancer Resource Library and those differences are reflected in these guidelines.
Those requesters who are not affiliated with Christiana Care, should contact their public or institutional library to request materials from the Christiana Care hospital libraries. Christiana Care hospital library materials will only be loaned library to library, through regular interlibrary loan procedures.
Books loaned by the hospital libraries are due back in four weeks. Audiovisual materials, CD-ROM programs, and journals are not available for interlibrary loan.
Due to the importance of medical information to Christiana Care personnel, some books may not be available for ILL and the lending library may recall materials at any time.
